La Source 2025

For their very first vintage, the Whitehead brothers chose a blend we really love: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Aligoté. The former brings body and a smooth texture; the latter adds vibrancy, lovely tension, and that briny finish that immediately makes you reach for another glass.

On the nose, white flowers mingle with lemon zest, white peach, and green apple. On the palate, it’s straightforward and bright, with fruit, a hint of almond, and a freshness that beautifully lingers on the finish. La Source lives up to its subtitle, “a Burgundian wine to quench your thirst”: a sincere and generous wine that’s a pleasure to share right now, even though it has enough depth to age for a few years in the cellar. A particularly delightful introduction to Les Danaïdes.
