The Danaïdes — Two Brothers, a New Winery in Pommard

In Pommard, Les Danaïdes is the brand-new venture of the two Whitehead brothers, united by a shared vision of wine: expertise, freedom, and, above all, the joy of sharing. The winery was founded in 2025 as a micro-negociant. One of the brothers cut his teeth at Domaine Michel Rebourgeon, a historic Pommard estate; together, they draw on this Burgundian heritage to craft wines that are uniquely their own.

The name evokes a bottomless barrel, but the two brothers prefer to give it a different destiny: that of a bottle passed among friends, bringing people together around the table. Their first vintage, La Source, already says a lot about this spirit. A free-spirited yet precise Burgundy white, designed to be opened with enthusiasm and then poured again without delay.
