PIERRE ANDREY

The Moselle magician is back

We are therefore very proud today to present the great wines of Florence and Pierre. It was love at first sight when we came across their nectars for the first time in 2018, and we've been looking forward to introducing them to you again;

Based in Moselle, they use a unique method to produce authentic terroir wines aged in Dame-Jeanne. The result is wines of incredible precision, energetic, sharp, deep and complex. From bewitching Pinots Noirs to vertiginously vertical Rieslings and Auxerrois, these unique wines fully justified our departure from our Burgundian playground.

Today we present the 2020s and only the reds (the whites are all still maturing). As usual, the dominant grape variety is Pinot Noir. As always, here we want you to understand the terroir, the geology of the soils and the incredible influence they have on the wines.

This year, the big news comes from the Pinot Noir I.D.V., perhaps the greatest terroir Pierre Andrey has ever vinified, since the grapes come from a region we know very well: Burgundy, and more precisely from biodynamic grapes from a parcel of Pernand-Vergelesses Premier cru - Île des Vergelesses. Let's be honest, this wine is on the verge of summits of complexity and elegance.

As quantities are minimal, each wine is limited to 1 or 2 bottles per cuvée and 4 cuvées maximum per customer. Thank you for your understanding.
