As the only Village appellation that can be produced in all three red wine categories, its character is typical of the wines of the Côte de Nuits, with a style similar to that of neighboring appellations such as Fixin and Gevrey-Chambertin. While the presence of vineyards has been documented since the 7th century—as is the case throughout the Côte—the prestige of this vineyard has been recognized for a very long time. The Abbey of Bèze, the Bishopric of Autun, the Dukes of Burgundy, and many others owned vineyards in this village.

A rare and precious cuvée, made from very old vines of fine Pinot. Vinified by infusion and aged for a long time, this is a delicate, almost ethereal wine of remarkable finesse. The most subtle expression of Pinot Noir in Marsannay.
