Charline, Alain, Julien and Romain Labet: the excellence of an extraordinary family.

Sud Revermont unfurls before us in its winter coat. The dense forests of the hillsides enliven these picturesque valleys, where a few plots of deep-green, grass-covered vines nestle. The Labets produce around thirty cuvées from some forty plots spread over ten hectares. Some are just a few acres in size. The vast majority of winegrowers assemble these small surfaces, which is much simpler in every respect. But at Labet, we've never taken the easy way out.

These vines are their wealth, their identity. They are at their service to express this terroir as faithfully as possible. Their recipe? It's simple: respect, humility and hard work. Even when the biting, scathing breeze blows hard, as it is today, and pierces you through and through. Fortunately, the timid winter sun comes to our rescue and warms us with its scattered rays, just like the lovely Savagnin En Chalasse that Charline wanted us to taste in the vineyard where it was born. When you see her, when you listen to her, it's obvious. She's really in her element here. She vibrates for this land.

On our return from our trip to the Jura, we were lucky enough to bring back a few nuggets from Domaine Labet. It's these wines, in very small quantities, that we're offering today in this private sale reserved for our most loyal customers, including you.

As you'd expect, all the wines have incredible finesse and intensity. The reds are very fruity, very immediate wines, while the whites are obviously great wines for laying down. Special mention goes to 3 very rare wines that have been aged for long, very long periods: the 2 Savagnins 2018 and 2019 were aged for more than 4 years, while the incredible SABIR 2008 was aged for 15 years!

The new releases from Domaine Labet have arrived

We’ve just received the new vintages from Domaine Labet, from the spring bottlings. And once again this year, the magicians at Rotalier are pushing the boundaries a little further.

On the menu: three whites aged for a long time—or rather, a very long time. We’re talking about 30 months of aging… and up to five years for the 2020 Chardonnay En Chalasse. An absolutely extraordinary wine, with impressive intensity and complexity, which will undoubtedly require another five to ten years of patience to reveal its full depth.

Alongside these three almost otherworldly cuvées, we’re also presenting three wines made from purchased grapes.

After the devastating frost of 2024, which caused them to lose nearly 80% of their harvest, the Labets decided, for the first time, to purchase some truly exceptional grapes. And what a great idea that was.

The three wines we’re offering are simply outstanding. They perfectly embody the estate’s style: delicacy, energy, great precision, and that unique intensity that gives the wines their instantly recognizable character.

The Sauvignon Montézin is superb, full of finesse, with an aromatic profile that’s a far cry from the usual standards of the variety. As for the two Gamays, they are juicy, vibrant, and surprisingly similar in spirit to the estate’s Poulsard and Trousseau wines.

Six wines, six different expressions, but always the same truth: at Labet, even the unconventional paths lead to deeply unique wines.
