Salma Cassam Chenaï & Frédéric Thiry, revealing the Brionnais terroir

Nestled in southern Burgundy, between gentle hills and bocage meadows, Domaine Le Bois Dieu is run by two committed winemakers: Salma Cassam Chenaï and Frédéric Thiry. Together, they have chosen to settle in the Brionnais region, a land still discreet on the wine map, but which conceals a veritable treasure trove of terroir. Their ambition: to express this unique landscape through lively, precise and luminous wines.

The Brionnais, long known for its cattle breeding, is now revealing another facet: that of a vineyard undergoing a renaissance, resting on granite and clay-limestone soils, bathed in a temperate climate. This natural setting inspires a viticulture that is mindful of the balance between man, plant and soil. Salma Cassam Chenaï and Frédéric Thiry practise organic farming, carefully tilling the soil and paying great attention to the vines.

In the cellar, their philosophy is clear: accompany without masking. Vinification is carried out naturally, without the use of inputs or artificial additives, with careful ageing in vats or stoneware jars, depending on the nature of each cuvée. The result is a reflection of the place: sincere, vibrant and deeply rooted. Le Bois Dieu wines are seductive in their energy, drinkability and finesse.

The whites are straightforward, full-bodied and expressive. The reds combine fruit, freshness and structure without heaviness. A modern, artisanal approach, driven by a winemaking duo in search of perfection. Domaine Le Bois Dieu has already established itself as a rising star in the Brionnais region, and a name to watch for all lovers of lively, singular and deeply rooted Burgundy wines.

A juicy, spicy Gamay to be drunk slightly chilled. Sometimes simplicity is good.

☀️ Moreno de Verde Luna 2023

Cofermentation of Gamay, Gamaret, Chardonnay and Muscat. A lively, cheerful wine for summer drinking!

🌅 L'Or du Soir 2023

Superb Chardonnay maceration. Notes of candied citrus and spices. Dense, vibrant, unique.

🌸 Les Bienveillantes 2023

Magnificent Gamays over 90 years old. A fine, floral, elegant red.
