Domaine de Chassorney

Domaine de Chassorney

Frédéric Cossard is one of the pioneers of natural wines in Burgundy. A wine broker for ten years, he created Domaine de Chassorney in 1996, the day he had the opportunity to acquire vines in Saint-Romain and Auxey-Duresses, in the heart of the great Côte de Beaune.

In 2010, the domaine expanded from 5 to 10 hectares, thanks to new acquisitions in Volnay and Pommard. At the same time, he decided to create a small negociant structure, enabling him to buy grapes from exceptional terroirs: Meursault, Morey-Saint-Denis, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny and Puligny-Montrachet. The choice of grapes is very strict, and the same care is given to purchases as to those grown on the estate.

In the vineyard, no chemicals, just copper, sulfur and essential oil preparations. In the cellar, it's the same: no inputs, indigenous yeasts and no additions of any kind. The result is pure, unadulterated juice that doesn't cheat on its terroir.

Domaine de Chassorney wines are true marvels that lovers of fresh, precise and energizing Chardonnays and Pinots are snapping up the world over. It has to be said that all these wines are marked by an incredible minerality and aromatic precision that make them irresistibly tempting.
