The Abbey of Bèze, the Bishopric of Autun, the Dukes of Burgundy, and many others owned vineyards in this village.

This hilltop dome enjoys magnificent exposure and is always very windy. The terroir is mainly composed of small Kimmeridgian limestone pebbles eroded over time. Chablis Côte aux Prêtres is a wine of great tension, whose powerful minerality is expressed by notes of iodized salt. It is a wine of great sapidity.
