The red clay soil, dotted with round limestone pebbles, gives this authentic Pinot Noir its distinctive character. The nose offers straightforward aromas of ripe red fruit, peony, violet, and red rose; the palate is chocolatey and spicy, with a long finish. A wine for aging.

Les terres sont argileuses et profondes bien que l'on trouve plus de calcaire dans la partie haute de la parcelle. Cette vigne se situe dans la première partie du côteau et est exposée à l'Est.

Nose of black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant, sloe), fresh, clean mouth, brilliant color, precise finish. Fifteen months' ageing in oak barrels have softened the tannins and produced a pleasant suavity.
