A terroir facing the Corton Grand Cru. An old, east-facing Chardonnay vineyard. Soil composed of marl and flinty limestone. Direct pressing and fermentation in 228L barrels.

South/East-facing terroir, on a soil composed of lava (a thin layer of limestone), marl and limestone with entroques. On the same line as Pernands Vergelesses 1 er cru “Les Caradeux”. 75% whole-cluster Pinot Noir. Cold pre-fermentation for 3 days, 15-day fermentation in stainless steel tanks, slow pressing and racking into 228-liter barrels. Aged 11 months.

Parcelle de 0,43 ha située au Nord-Est de l’appellation et exposée au Sud sur des sols de marnes sableuses et calcaires.
Vendange : Manuelle.
Elevage : 1 an en fûts de chêne (dont 20% de fûts neufs) puis 6 mois en cuves inox.

This terroir, perfectly situated in the middle of the slope, with an easterly exposure on a soil that is half clay, half limestone, produces one of the finest wines in the Côte de Beaune.

This wine, with its highly aromatic nose of red berries typical of the best Pinot Noirs, is also beautifully structured. Straightforward and tannic, it has a very long finish;

minerality that will ensure a long life.

Les Santenots, Premier Cru from Volnay, is located in the commune of Meursault. It produces long-keeping, structured wines with a long finish.
