As every year, we salute the quality of Sylvain Pataille's work. Serious and consistent. After long ageing and beneficial cellaring, he presents us with his delicately fruity 2021.

This committed winemaker has raised the Marsannay appellation to new heights. At the northernmost point of the Côte, Marsannay has often suffered from its proximity to its illustrious neighbor Gevrey-Chambertin. And yet, the terroirs in this northern region have nothing to be ashamed of when compared to those of the climates that border them.

Organic since 2008, Sylvain Pataille is a hard worker, adept at vinification with little or no sulfur and who favors long, even very long aging, whether for his incredibly precise Pinots or his sharp, deep Aligoté wines, which may surprise many enlightened connoisseurs.
