The Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots 2023 reveals the nobility of this legendary climate: a deep, gravelly-clay terroir that always produces structured yet incredibly refined wines. The highest point on the hill of Béru, Montserre is, as its name suggests, a summit of "Serres", a particular geological formation, a superposition of highly angular fossilized limestone slabs. This unique terroir produces wines with a strong personality characterized by their chewiness, concentrated body and smoky, iodized mineral notes.

Facing east, this 0.60-hectare parcel in a place called "Les Verroilles" was bought by Louis Gustave Gros in 1882. Some of the vines are over 75 years old, while others are around 50 years old.
